An End to an Era

The Sarasota Annual Vacation
We (most of my family except Debbie and hers, who spent the vacation week in Chicago for Bob’s neice’s graduation), and Rita spent last week at Longboat Key with sun, sand and surf. I think a good time was had by all-but I was disappointed that we did not have at least 1 or 2 nights of getting together as a family in the game room and playing nickel dice; and Krista was going to show all of us how to play bunco. Alas, everyone had other things to do this year, the grandsons are getting older; they bring their friends, Colton brought his girlfriend, all of the guys went fishing in the early mornings (2 boat loads), and most were in bed early in the evenings. All in all, it was good, but the trend of the family playing together seems to be coming to an end. (boo hoo)
